4 Simple Ways to
Master Your Mind
(Even IF You’re Lost)

Did you know that your mind isn’t currently under your own control? You see, if you haven't yet purposely taken control of your mind, then you're going to be like a ship without a rudder, tossed and turned in every direction by the current and the wind without direction and purpose. When you don’t know how to master your mind and your thoughts, your life is going to be a mix of good and bad when it could all be good. That is why mastering your mind is crucial to your happiness and success in life.

Did you know that any changes you make in your life can be easily thwarted? Time and time again, as a personal performance consultant, I have seen people, who didn't take my advice to work on their subconscious mind from an emotional level, find themselves right back in the same old patterns of behavior and problems that they originally had. They bounced back into the trap of their subconscious mind, but this can easily be avoided.

Did you know you actually have 2 minds? Basically, you have your conscious mind, which is your critical thinking and analytical mind. And you have your subconscious mind which keeps your heart beating and remembers everything, BUT the subconscious mind holds on to any and all negative thoughts and negative beliefs in an attempt to keep you safe.

Your subconscious mind is like an overly protective mother who doesn't want you to ever grow up! If you let your subconscious mind run the show and you don't take any steps in order to remove your negative thoughts and beliefs, then you will stay stuck and your life will be restricted by the confines of your mind.

Warning: If you are feeling at all resistant to the topic of mastering your mind, it may very well be that your sneaky subconscious mind is at work right now doing all it can to resist change! That's okay. That was its primary job in the past. But now, it’s time to tell it to let go!

IF You Don’t Take the Reins of Your Own Mind,

But don’t worry, I’ve been a student of the mind for over 30 years and I have some exciting things to share with you to end this negative change cycle. Here are 4 Simple Ways to Master Your Mind (Even IF You’re Lost).

Simple Way #1: Think Again

You need to know how to think, not just what to think. When you know how to think in order to evoke the correct feeling or vibration, then you will easily gain control of your mind.

There are many programs out there that tell you what to think but they don't take into consideration your own powerful feelings – and these feelings create your vibration.

In other words, you can say affirmations all day long, but if you don't believe the affirmation, nothing will change. You've got to find a way to remove the old negative beliefs that you hold inside of yourself and replace them with new, positive thoughts and feelings. I know it sounds complicated, but it isn’t.

Once you remove those negative beliefs, your options immediately open up for you. Think of this as a multiple choice quiz, out of all the answers available, now you can CHOOSE.  That’s right choose. Plus there’s always a positive option available.  Sounds good right?

You need to know how to correctly use the gifts of your mind. Your mind is so powerful, especially when it is working together with your subconscious mind. When they work together instead of fighting against one another, YOU ARE UNSTOPPABLE! So, there is a right way and a wrong way to use the power of your mind and if you stick with me, I’ll show you the right (easy) way ;)

Simple Way #2: Make It Stick

You need to know how to make changes stick, otherwise, you’re wasting your time.

Einstein said that you cannot fix a problem with the same mind that created it. What I have found is that you must go to the emotional level where the problem was created in order to fix it.

If you only change your conscious mind, you will never change, it’s as simple as that. In order to ensure any change will stick, you have to change your beliefs about yourself and those beliefs are safely stored in your subconscious mind. Remember that is your so called protection device.

It’s not just about changing your beliefs, it’s about replacing them. Think of a game of Jenga. When you remove a block, the tower becomes unstable, until eventually it collapses completely.  The same can be said about the subconscious mind, you can’t simply remove the negative thought, you need a new thought to hold that space. That new thought is your opportunity for a strong, positive belief. And with that strong, positive belief comes, you guessed it, permanent positive change!

Simple Way #3: Take a Flying Leap (of Faith)

You must learn to start thinking for yourself. If you are not thinking for yourself, then by default you are living your life based upon what others think is best for you. There’s an old saying, if you don’t steer the boat, someone else will.

If you are living your life based upon what other people want for you instead of what you truly want for yourself, then you really aren't living the life that you intended to live. So, take control! Start thinking for yourself.

You know that inner feeling when you just KNOW you want something? Some call it gut instinct. That’s the real YOU doing everything it can to send a message about your true desires. It’s time to follow your gut and let your inner voice get louder and direct you on the path you want to go.

Believe in yourself and know that once you are on YOUR path, the Universe gets on board and supports you in everything you do!

Simple Way #4: Track Your Progress

This is an easy one. Remember back in grade school when you were learning History?

Well there was a good, scratch that, GREAT reason for this. History repeats itself. Plus it’s really just a subject all about awareness. If we don’t know where we’ve been, we can’t know where we’re going.

Now take this idea a step further; IF you don’t KNOW where you are right now, how can you chart the path to where you WANT to go?

For any goal that you have in life, you need to have a clear vision of what it is. When you have a clear vision of what it is that you want, and you know where you are now, then you will be able to track your progress. Like a GPS, you can map out point A to point B, but you couldn’t possibly do this if you didn’t know where point A and B were, right?

So, in order to keep track, you must know where you are and where you want to go. This is how you will know with 100% accuracy when you have gotten there (point B). And that’s when you celebrate! It seems like an obvious one, but I promise you, many of my clients have skipped this in the past and robbed themselves of the amazing joy of getting there.

These four simple ways to master your mind are a great start and if you only use these 4 tips, you WILL see change in your life.
